Report Claims WFAN Simulcast To Split In January

TUNEDIN's JERRY BARMASH is reporting that a source has told him that the rumored breakup of the AM-FM simulcast of CBS RADIO Sports WFAN-A-F/NEW YORK will come in JANUARY.  BARMASH says that "a source close to the situation cautions the switch is tentative"; the move would ostensibly put the national CBS SPORTS RADIO lineup on 660 AM with the local WFAN format continuing on 101.9 FM.

CBS RADIO VP/Sports Programming and WFAN PD MARK CHERNOFF told ALL ACCESS, "We have no announcements to make in regards to WFAN/CBS Sports Radio at this time."
