New York Public Radio Adds Westchester Signal

NEW YORK PUBLIC RADIO is buying a station at the northern edge of the NEW YORK metro, picking up noncommercial Variety WDFH/OSSINING, NY from HUDSON VALLEY COMMUNITY RADIO, INC. for $400,000.

In other filings with the FCC, KRXA, LLC is selling Talk KRXA-A/CARMEL VALLEY-MONTEREY, CA to EL SEMBRADOR MINISTRIES for $300,000.  The buyer will convert the station to non-commercial educational status and will do the same for its Spanish Religion KHPY-A/MORENO VALLEY, CA, of which KRXA will serve as a satellite.

COMMUNITY PUBLIC RADIO, INC. is selling FM translator K283BW/OKLAHOMA CITY, OK to TYLER MEDIA, LLC for $125,000.

Country WIZK-A/BAY SPRINGS, MS and W249AO/HATTIESBURG, MS are being transferred from the estate of the late MITCHELL JEROME HUGHEY to STEVE STRINGER's SAGE COMMUNICATIONS, LLC to satisfy in part a debt of $26,000.

CALVARY RADIO NETWORK, INC. has requested a Silent STA for FM translator W240BJ/CROWN POINT, IN while it plans a move to a new site.  The translator went silent in DECEMBER and the STA request was inadvertently omitted from the notification to the FCC that the station went silent.

SOUND OF LIFE, INC. has filed for a Silent STA for FM translator W235AY/TROY, NY while it builds at a new site to alleviate interference with its input signal.

GEORGE S. FLINN, JR. has asked for an extension of his silent STA for WMBZ/WAYNESBORO, TN due to a change in programming involving replacement or upgrade of equipment.

HOWARD FLOYD JOHNSON's VENTURE BROADCASTING LLC has closed on the sale of  FM translator W240CA/REUBENSVILLE, TN to his father TED JOHNSON's SOUTHERN WABASH COMMUNICATIONS OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE, INC. for $1.  The translator will rebroadcast Sports WNSR-A/NASHVILLE.

BIG RIVER RADIO, INC. (KENTUCKY) has closed on the sale of Contemporary Christian WOKE (WALK FM)/GARRISON, KY to POSITIVE ALTERNATIVE RADIO, INC. for $150,000.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN CALVARY CHAPEL, INC. has closed on the sale of low-power FM KWIR-LP/COLORADO SPRINGS to CALVARY COMMUNITY CHURCH for no consideration.

The L&L BROADCASTING LLC closing on its purchase of several stations from TRIAD BROADCASTING CO. included the closing of its donation of Classic Rock WKQY (EAGLE 100.1) and Talk WTZE-A/TAZEWELL, VA to CALVARY CHAPEL OF TWIN FALLS, INC.

And SHEPHERD OF THE HILLS CHURCH OF LAGUNA NIGUEL has closed on the sale of low-power FM KXRN-LP/LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA to LAGUNA RADIO, INC. for $37,255, covering the depreciated fair market value of the station's equipment.
