As of 12a (PT) TODAY (5/6), LOTUS Classic Hits KVMX (92.1 MAX-FM)/BAKERSFIELD has flipped to a Country format (KIX 92.1 NEW COUNTRY).
The station started hinting at forthcoming changes via the MAX-FM FACEBOOK page, last week. TODAY, a post on that page was made that said "In the words of ALAN JACKSON, we've gone Country!"
The syndicated "THE BOBBY BONES SHOW" will air in the mornings with "CMT LIVE WITH CODY ALAN" in evenings. Former MAX-FM morning co-host MEL will host the 10a-noon (PT) slot. ANNE KELLY will handle the noon-3p (PT) shift and former co-host WINSTON will take over evenings on KIX from 3-7p (PT).
LOTUS BAKERSFIELD GM GREG HOLCOMB said, “Country music is one of those formats that crosses all demographics. With our impressive talent line up, we look forward to satisfying our new listeners.”
The new KIX 92.1 website is under construction, however their FACEBOOK page can be viewed here.
