The NHL's TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING is partnering with SKYVIEW SATELLITE NETWORKS in a bid to expand the team's radio network, which is headed by CLEAR CHANNEL Sports WDAE-A (THE SPORTS ANIMAL)/TAMPA and included affiliates in ORLANDO and MELBOURNE last season. SKYVIEW will supply distribution services, automation, and proprietary software systems for team inventory management.
"We have been approached by radio stations throughout the state that are looking to add the excitement of Lightning hockey to their lineup," said LIGHTNING Director of Broadcasting and Programming JASON DIXON. "Through our partnership with SKYVIEW, we are able to expand the LIGHTNING RADIO NETWORK while making it essentially a turn-key operation for the club, our advertisers, and our affiliates."
Stations interested in joining the network can contact DIXON at 813-301-6786 or at JDixon@sptimesforum.com
