GOLDEN CORNERS BROADCASTING, INC. is selling Oldies WAHT-A and Sports WCCP-F (THE DRIVE 104.9)/CLEMSON, SC to BYRNE ACQUISITION GROUP, LLC for $2,187,882 ($87,500 in escrow, $1.75 million in cash, the rest in a promissory note) plus an LMA before closing.

In other filings with the FCC, NOALMARK BROADCASTING CORPORATION is selling Classic Country KBOK-A/MALVERN, AR to MICHAEL E. WILKINS' SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS MEDIA, LLC for $35,000 and is also selling KVRC and KDEL-F/ARKADELPHIA, AR and KYXK/GURDON, AR to the same buyer for $275,000 plus a time brokerage agreement before closing.

JPR FOUNDATION, INC. is selling the 22 stations of JEFFERSON PUBLIC RADIO to the STATE OF OREGON, for SOUTHERN OREGON UNIVERSITY, for $10.  The transaction is part of the settlement reached in AUGUST 2012  in the dispute between the school and the foundation over control of the stations (NET NEWS 8/29/12).

SKYNET COMMUNICATIONS INC. is selling FM translator K272FB/KAILUA-KONA, HI to WP MEDIA LENDING, LLC for $1.

AMERICAN EDUCATION FOUNDATION, INC. has applied for a Silent STA for WAED/LEE, IL while it is "finalizing its staffing, program schedule and commitments."

And COPPER BASIN BROADCASTING CO., INC. has requested an extension of its Silent STA for WLSB/COPPER HILL, TN  because it is "not financially stable at this time and is being sold.

JVC Buys Asterisk's Gainesville Cluster

In a deal not yet filed with the FCC, JOHN CARACCIOLO and VIC CANALES' LONG ISLAND-based JVC MEDIA is buying ASTERISK COMMUNICATIONS' GAINESVILLE, FL cluster for an undisclosed price.  THe stations include Country WTRS (THUNDER COUNTRY 102.3), Hot AC WMFQ (Q92), Smooth AC WXJZ (SMOOTH FM 100.9), Talk WBXY (THE STAR 99.5), and Sports WYGC (105 THE GAME).
