Linkin Park Singer Joins Stone Temple Pilots For KROQ's Weenie Roast, New Song

The big surprise at CBS RADIO Alternative KROQ/LOS ANGELES' annual "KROQ WEENIE ROAST" concert in IRVINE, CA on SATURDAY (5/18) was the surprise appearance of STONE TEMPLE PILOTS sans fired singer SCOTT WEILAND but with LINKIN PARK's CHESTER BENNINGTON handling lead vocals.  The surprise return included a short set of the band's hits and one new song, "Out of Time."

The new song was also made available as a free download and on-demand offering at CBS' RADIO.COM site, and is being featured in clips on the company's Rock, Adult Hits and Sports stations as well as CBS SPORTS RADIO.

The band was also featured at sister Alternative KITS (LIVE 105)/SAN FRANCISCO's "BFD" concert SUNDAY (5/19).  And an interview with KROQ's KEVIN AND BEAN will air on MONDAY's edition of the morning show.
