The former director of SETON HALL UNIVERSITY's noncommercial WSOU/SOUTH ORANGE, NJ has pleaded guilty to embezzling over $550,000. in underwriting and subchannel lease money from the station over 13 years. MICHAEL COLLAZO admitted in SUPERIOR COURT WEDNESDAY to taking $236,000. in underwriting funds and close to $350,000. in subchannel lease payments from Haitian broadcaster RADIO VERITE and reading-for-the-blind organization EIES OF NJ. Sentencing is scheduled for AUGUST 18.
