Longtime DJ Bill Bailey Dies On Golf Course

Longtime radio personality and current Oldies WGVU/GRAND RAPIDS Program Manager/morning man BILL BAILEY passed away unexpectedly today while playing golf at a station event. BAILEY's career started with ARMED FORCES RADIO when he served in VIETNAM.  After that, he worked in WASHINGTON, DC, CINCINNATI and the famed WLS-A/CHICAGO before he came to GRAND RAPIDS.

"Bill has been an integral part of building WGVU Real Oldies," WGVU GM MICHAEL WALENTA said. "We will miss his smile, his style, and the contribution he has made to our station and our lives. His passion for music, golf, and the community are an inspiration. Please keep BILL’s family in your thoughts."
