ESPN Radio Auction Raises Almost $436K For V Foundation

The final tally for ESPN RADIO's "Don’t Ever Give Up V FOUNDATION Auction" on JULY 12 is $435,770. raised for the V FOUNDATION FOR CANCER RESEARCH founded by ESPN and the late basketball coach and ESPN commentator JIM VALVANO. The network held a one-day on-air auction and a 10 day online auction featuring over 165 sports items and experiences. 

The foundation also received $1.1 million from the 2006 ESPY Celebrity Golf Classic on TUESDAY in SIMI VALLEY, CA, and an impromptu auction on DAN PATRICK's ESPN RADIO show THURSDAY raised a $25,000. bid for a trip for two to the RITZ-CARLTON in SARASOTA to visit with DICK VITALE. VITALE is offering another travel package for auction at a minimum bid of $25,000.
