WCDX Wins Two Station Awards

RADIO ONE Urban WCDX (POWER 92.1)/RICHMOND picked up two first place awards at the recent 76th annual VIRGINIA BROADCASTING AWARDS event.  WCDX afternoon-drive personality TT  TORREZ’s annual prom-a-thon won first place for best public service event in a large market.

The annual prom-a-thon collects and donates prom dresses to needy high school students. This annual event has collected nearly 1,000 dresses and has become a WCDX tradition. Imaging Dir./morning show producer CAM COOPER won first place for the best commercial in a large market. COOPER’s MLK Party commercial was written and produced locally and aired exclusively on WCDX.

“I couldn’t be prouder of TT and CAM for winning these awards,” said WCDX VP/GM LINDA FOREM. “Being recognized in the state of VIRGINA for excellence in broadcasting is truly an honor for our staff.”
