Gene Knight Named MD At XHRM

LOCAL MEDIA Rhythmic AC XHRM (MAGIC 92.5)/SAN DIEGO has named veteran SAN DIEGO programmer and personality GENE KNIGHT as MD. KNIGHT worked for 10 years at KFMB/SAN DIEGO where he was MD/middays. Most recently, KNIGHT was doing afternoons at KYXY/SAN DIEGO.

In a press release, XHRM PD R. DUB! commented, "He (KNIGHT) has won multiple 'MD of the Year' awards, and most importantly, GENE has always been a huge MAGIC 92.5 fan and an expert in the music. We'll be working closely together on the music here at MAGIC as GENE will continue his weekend and fill-in work on the air."

Also at LOCAL MEDIA, ALEXIA GLORIA joins for weekends on Top 40/Rhythmic XHTZ (JAMMIN' Z90)/SAN DIEGO. ALEXIA had been doing nights at KWIN/STOCKTON and tracking middays for KWWV/SAN LUIS OBISPO. ALEXIA will continue on KWWV. ALEXIA has also worked at KDON/MONTEREY and KHTN/MODESTO-MERCED.
