CBS Adds Features, Simulcast For Couric Evening News Debut

Part of CBS' efforts in launching KATIE COURIC as the new CBS EVENING NEWS anchor will include her taking over CBS RADIO NEWS' 5p newscast as her predecessor DAN RATHER did, but also offering a one-minute "KATIE COURIC REPORTS" feature to radio affiliates, fed daily at 4:25p (ET) and also available for affiliates to use as a podcast (and by VERIZON VCAST and on CBSNEWS.COM as a video download). The opening segment of each "CBS EVENING NEWS WITH KAIE COURIC" telecast will also be available to radio affiliates as a simulcast. COURIC debuts on CBS SEPTEMBER 5.
