L&L Buys YMF's Jackson, MS Cluster

LARRY WILSON's L & L BROADCASTING is buying six radio stations in JACKSON, MS from YMF MEDIA, LLC for an undisclosed price.  The deal, including an immediate LMA and for an undisclosed price, includes WKXI, WJMI, WRKS, WJNT-A, WOAD-A, and WJQS-A.

WILSON said, “The YMF MEDIA cluster in JACKSON will be a great addition to our MISSISSIPPI footprint.  As the state capital, JACKSON is an energetic and thriving city with endless opportunities for growth. We’re excited to bring these heritage stations into the L & L family. "

Under the leadership of L & L BROADCASTING, the stations will continue their outstanding service to Jackson and its communities," said YMF Media’s President and COO CHARLES M. WARFIELD.  YMF acquired the cluster in the INNER CITY BROADCASTING bankruptcy proceeding.
 

In filings with the FCC, HISPANIC FAMILY CHRISTIAN NETWORK, INC. is selling Spanish Religion KYCL-F/CLARENDON, TX; KZES-F/ESTELLINE, TX; and KPMA-F/ARCHER CITY, TX to TEMPLO DE DIOS, INC. 1 for $150,000.

GLORY2GLORY EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION, INC. is selling the construction permit for a new FM at BASTROP, LA to JIMMY SWAGGART's FAMILY WORSHIP CENTER, INC.

GREAT PLAINS CHRISTIAN RADIO, INC. is selling FM translator K255AZ/NICKERSON, KS to EAGLE COMMUNICATIONS, INC. for $30,000.  The translator rebroadcasts Talk KWBW-A/HUTCHINSON, KS.

THE CEDARVILLE UNIVERSITY is selling the construction permit for FM translator W288CM/CONNERSVILLE, IN to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION for $10,000.  

CALVARY CHAPEL OF TWIN FALLS, INC. is selling FM translator W231CE/LYNCHBURG, VA to BRENT EPPERSON for $45,000.  The translator will rebroadcast Oldies WLVA-A/LYNCHBURG, VA.

FAMILY STATIONS, INC. has requested a Silent STA for FM translator K270AF/GROVER CITY, CA because "the primary station was sold and no longer feeds K270AF."

And ST. GABRIEL RADIO, INC. has closed on the sale of noncommercial Religion WFOT/LEXINGTON-MANSFIELD, OH to OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE RADIO, INC D/B/A ANNUNCIATION RADIO for $70,000.
