Moheak Changes To The Independent FM

New Name

Internet Alternative Indie Rock station MOHEAK RADIO has changed its name to "THE INDEPENDENT FM" under PD TK (a.k.a. TODD KILLIAM).  The station's new motto is to "support local" and to give a voice to the independent artist.

GM RISS SWAN said, "I really am proud of the way our station has a definable personality that is a part of yet stands alone in our community," said GM RISS SWAN. "It isn’t easy being the new kid on the block but we have had such amazing and overwhelming support from local businesses and fans that at the end of the day, all of the blood, sweat, and tears is well worth it."

"It has been an amazing experience for us," added TK. "Being a part of the iHEARTRADIO family has not only grown our listenership but it has been fantastic for the local bands we play. Up and coming bands from LA and beyond that haven't been played on radio are now hitting IHEARTRADIO's 135 million plus listeners. It is awesome to give bands a voice on that platform daily."
