DAVID M. STOUT is selling FM translator K253BJ/HUMBOLDT, IA to NRG LICENSE SUB, LLC for $17,000. The translator will rebroadcast NRG's Country KLGA-A/ALGONA, IA.
In other filings with the FCC, MUNBILLA BROADCASTING PROPERTIES, LTD. has applied for a Silent STA for KYRT/HUNT, TX "for economic reasons," with filing delayed due to the hospitalization of principal B. SHANE FOX.
ONE MINISTRIES, INC. has closed on the sale of FM translator K234AW/MONTEREY, CA to MOUNT WILSON FM BROADCASTERS, INC. for $90,000. The station, which holds a construction permit to move to 95.1 as K236BK, will rebroadcast KNRY-A/MONTEREY.
And ONE CONNECTION MEDIA GROUP has closed on the sale of FM translator W257AB/MARION, OH to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION for $35,000.
Red Zebra Exits Tidewater
In a deal yet to be filed with the FCC, DAN SNYDER's RED ZEBRA BROADCASTING is selling Sports WXTG-A-F (THE GAME 102.1)/HAMPTON-NORFOLK-VIRGINIA BEACH to DAVIS MEDIA, LLC/LOCAL VOICE MEDIA, owner of Triple A WTYD (92.3 THE TIDE) and Classical WBQK (BACH FM)/WILLIAMSBURG, VA for an undisclosed price, according to the NEWPORT NEWS DAILY PRESS. The FM side will flip to Triple A, according to LOCAL VOICE/DAVIS CEO TOM DAVIS, but will continue carrying WASHINGTON NATIONALS baseball and REDSKINS football through this season.
