WFUV Puts 'Mix Tape' in the Hands Of The Listeners

New Weekday Feature At Noon

FORDHAM UNIVERSITY Triple A WFUV/NEW YORK middayer CARMEL HOLT will debut a new weekday feature called "THE WFUV MIXTAPE" on MONDAY, AUGUST 12th.  THE MIXTAPE is an all-request hour, beginning at noon, where WFUV listeners can request songs via the WFUV FACEBOOK or TWITTER pages, and the songs played will be compiled into a daily SPOTIFY playlist that listeners can download.

WFUV PD RITA HOUSTON said, "We know how diverse our audience is and what good taste they have. Getting their direct input in this way will create a pretty cool mix each day."

HOLT added, "It will simply be songs that listeners want to hear. My hope is that requests will inspire other requests. Modeled after the old school mixtapes we used to make for each other. When you add a song to your mix, then it makes you think of another song, and so on, and so on!"
