The FCC has removed an obstacle to the sale of FISHER COMMUNICATIONS to SINCLAIR TELEVISION GROUP by approving the continued operation of some of the FISHER television stations as satellites of other stations.
Specifically, the Commission approved the operation of KCBY-TV/COOS BAY, OR and KPIC-TV/ROSEVILLE, OR as satellites of CBS affiliate KVAL-TV/EUGENE and KEPR-TV/PASCO (TRI-CITIES), WA as a satellite of CBS affiliate KIMA-TV/YAKIMA. The approval allows SINCLAIR to keep the three additional stations in the same arrangement they have had for several decades.
