KCYY Names Carey Edwards To Afternoons

SANDUSKY AC KRWM (WARM 106.9)/SEATTLE Dir./Production CAREY EDWARDS has been named to afternoons at COX MEDIA Country KCYY/SAN ANTONIO.

EDWARDS succeeds BRIAN HATFIELD, who exited last MONTH (NET NEWS 7/1).

“We are lucky to have CAREY's on-air talent on Y100,” said Y100 OM/PD JEFF GARRISON.  “His unique style and connection with the audience will be a great addition to afternoons in SAN ANTONIO.”

EDWARDS’s move to KCYY marks a return to both Country radio and TEXAS; his past experience includes stops in AUSTIN, PORTLAND and PHOENIX, where he spent time with CBS RADIO Country KMLE.

“I am excited to be back in TEXAS and back with a great company, COX MEDIA GROUP,” said EDWARDS. “I've admired JEFF GARRSION's programming success for over a decade, getting to work with him on such a strong Country brand like Y100 will be a treat.”
