ALL ACCESS sends out major congrats to our friends at INTERSCOPE GEFFEN A&M, who will hold the top 4 spots on the MEDIABASE and BDS Top 40 Charts this week. No label has ever captured spots 1-2-3-4 on either chart during the monitored era.
ROBIN THICKE "Blurred Lines," IMAGINE DRAGONS "Radioactive," ZEDD "Clarity," and MAROON 5 "Love Somebody" all stack up at the top of the chart. It could not be verified if one label ever held the Top 4 spots before the charts used spin detections to rank songs. INTERSCOPE has previously held spots 1-2-3 (twice) and 4 of the Top 5 (twice), but this new crowning achievement is a first.
Hats off to BRENDA ROMANO, CHRIS LOPES, MARK NEITER, GREG MARELLA and the INTERSCOPE, GEFFEN and A&M field staff
In more INTERSCOPE news, ROBIN THICKE's "Blurred Lines" becomes the first song to go #1 at 5 formats: Top 40/Mainstream, Top 40/Rhythmic, Hot AC, Urban and Urban AC. "Blurred Lines" breaks the Combined Format spin record, and with 250 million in audience, shatters the prior audience record by more than 60 million. It also sets new all-time marks at Top 40 for spins and for audience.
And, "Blurred Lines" just notched its 9th consecutive #1 week on Billboard's HOT 100 and is still going strong.
