Clear Channel Settles 2 Of 3 Lawsuits By Former New Orleans Salespeople

CLEAR CHANNEL has settled the lawsuits filed by two of the three three African-American former sales account managers for the company's NEW ORLEANS cluster.  Terms of the settlements, described in the orders of dismissal as "a compromise," were not disclosed.  The third suit, by PRIXIE MONTGOMERY, is proceeding.

The three sued over the FEBRUARY 2009 revision of sales compensation and account assignments, which the plaintiffs said were discriminatory, while CLEAR CHANNEL asserted that the changes were based on the economic downturn. and added workplace violence allegations in MONTGOMERY's case.
