Lorde Becomes First Female Solo Artist To Hit #1 At Alternative In 17 Years

Congrats to REPUBLIC SVP/Rock Formats DENNIS BLAIR, Sr. Director Rock & Alternative Promotion JOHN DIMAIO, and the rest of the team on LORDE "Royals" leaping from fourth to #1 this week on the MEDIABASE Alternative chart.  

It's the first time in 17 years that a female solo artist has hit the top spot at Alternative.  The last time it happened was TRACY BONHAM's "Mother Mother" in 1996.
