Newcap Revenue, Profits Rise In Second Quarter

NEWFOUNDLAND CAPITAL CORP. LTD. -- NEWCAP -- second quarter revenue rose 4% to C$35.8 million, with profit up 59% to C$6 million.  The company also declared a C6 cents/share dividend on Class A Subordinate Voting Shares and Class B Common Shares, payable SEPTEMBER 13th to shareholders of record as of AUGUST 30th.

"Revenue and EBITDA continue to show positive growth despite flat industry growth", said President and Chief Executive Officer ROB STEELE. "We're very pleased with our organic results and also very pleased that we are expanding our operations. We have successfully launched our radio stations in MIRAMICHI and FREDERICTON, NEW BRUNSWICK and look forward to seeking out other opportunities to grow."
