LOTUS RADIO CORP./RENO has made some changes due to budget cuts including Active Rock KDOT afternoon talent RON WAY exiting with LOTUS OM JAVE PATTERSON taking back over the afternoon shift. Also out is CHUCK SHORT, who was the station's utility player doing overnights, Public Service Coordinator and local affiliate morning show producer.
Also out is recent new hire ANDI GLOVER, the stations Promotions Dir. as the position has been eliminated. Sister station KOZZ's longtime promotion guru MANDEE MORALES will assume promotions duties for KDOT and can be reached at Mandee@lotusradio.com.
OM PATTERSON said, "The fact that these pros are on the loose after another banner book for KDOT made this decision quite difficult. Both talents are exceptional in their crafts and the move was completely budgetary. I hope RON WAY is able to negotiate cigars and beer into his next contract!"
RON WAY said, "I took a big gamble moving cross country to work for KDOT/LOTUS RADIO in RENO and I don't regret it a bit. I will surely miss seeing everybody in that building on a daily basis. Thank you for the opportunity and the past four years. On to the next adventure that I hope includes snow skiing and tropical sunsets...is there such a place?"
