As ALL ACCESS first tipped last week, veteran programmer and former CLEAR CHANNEL RVPP JEFF WYATT has been named Chief Programming Officer at RED ZEBRA BROADCASTING. WYATT helped sign on the company's new Sports trimulcast WWXT-WWXX-WXTR-A (ESPN RADIO TRIPLE X)/WASHINGTON on TUESDAY. He will also spearhead talent development, acquisition assessment and audience expansion for the company.
WYATT's long resume includes stints at KPWR (POWER 106)/LOS ANGELES, WQHT (HOT 97)/NEW YORK, WUSL (POWER 99)/PHILADELPHIA, and WXKS (KISS 108)/BOSTON.
"I look forward to rejoining BENNETT (ZIER) and the outstanding team he's assembled at RED ZEBRA," said WYATT. "In a time when radio is changing, RED ZEBRA will be forward looking, and we'll bring our hearts along with our minds to work with us everyday."
In other RED ZEBRA news, the VIRGINIAN-PILOT in NORFOLK is reporting that the company is buying Urban WWHV/VIRGINIA BEACH from bankrupt ON TOP COMMUNICATIONS.
