WGN Moves Mike McConnell To Online Stream

TRIBUNE Talk WGN-A/CHICAGO has moved midday host MIKE MCCONNELL to its WGN-2 online-only stream and podcasting.  MCCONNELL is being heard online 10a-2p (CT) weekdays with a podcast version posted after 3p.

CHICAGOLAND RADIO AND MEDIA reports that MCCONNELL, who joined WGN in 2010 after a long run at CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WLW-A/CINCINNATI, has been off the main 720 AM air since late JULY, with fill-in hosts airing in the 10a-3p slots.  Among the fill-in rotation are WGN part-timers BOB SIROTT and MARIANNE MURCIANO and STEVE COCHRAN, overnight host BILL LEFF, and market veteran PETE MCMURRAY.
