Russ Allen Exits PD Post At WTMG

PD Search Starts

MARC RADIO Top 40/Rhythmic WTMG (MAGIC 101.3)/GAINESVILLE PD/afternoons RUSS ALLEN exits the cluster. WTMG APD AMANDA CARTER jumps in as Interim PD as a PD search begins.

ALLEN, a veteran programmer, tells ALL ACCESS, "During the past four years that I was PD of WTMG we had some great times. When I arrived we were being beaten by an out of market station, ratings were crumbling and revenue was down. Four years, four GMs, 2 owners and a new consultant later; I leave the station in much better health than when I inherited it. It's a top performer 18-34 and 18-49. It was a great ride. I'm now considering options in and out of radio starting with a business trip that I'm packing a suitcase for now."
