BROCKTON, MA firefighters took a pirate FM station off the air last week after discovering that the station interfered with their radio communications.
The BROCKTON ENTERPRISE reports that after firefighters heard music interfering with their communications system, the department's SCOTT UHLMAN and City Councilor DENNIS DENAPOLI used a frequency finder to track the signal to an antenna across the street from the fire station and a group of Haitian men who would not answer who owned the radio equipment until UHLMAN climbed onto the roof with a pair of wire cutters, at which point the men found the owner and the station was shut down.
