Rules Altered
The FCC has issued further rule changes regarding tower construction near AM stations.
The modifications in the Third Report and Order and Second Order on Reconsideration in Mass Media Bureau Docker No. 92-177, establish a single protection scheme for tower building and changes near AM arrays and switches methodologies from direct measurement to "moment method" computer modeling to determine whether a new or modified tower will affect AM patterns.
