Congratulations to CAPITOL’s LUKE BRYAN, UMG NASHVILLE Chairman MIKE DUNGAN and Sr. VP/Promotion ROYCE RISSER and CAPITOL NASHVILLE VP/Promotion STEVE HODGES on BRYAN’s “Crash My Party” album topping this week’s all-genre and Country albums sales charts.
For its debut week, “Crash My Party” sold nearly 528,000 copies, the biggest first-week sales tally by a male Country artist in nine years. In 2004, TIM MCGRAW’s “Live Like You Were Dying” moved 766,000 units its launch week. And BRYAN is one of just two Country artists to top 500,000 in first-week sales since 2008. The other? TAYLOR SWIFT.
“Crash My Party” is BRYAN’s second album chart topper following his compilation album, “Spring Break … Here To Party,” which debuted #1 earlier this year.
