Condolences to family and friends of former WKNX-A/SAGINAW, MI personality and owner BOB DYER, who died SUNDAY (8/18) at 85, according to the SAGINAW NEWS.
DYER, one of MID-MICHIGAN's most well-known radio personalities for several decades, joined WKNX in 1950 and remained on board for 55 years until the station was sold and changed format to Talk (it is now WHHQ-A). He also hosted a children's TV show, "PIXIE LOONEY TUNES," on WKNX-TV (now WEYI-TV)/SAGINAW in the 1950s.
