Alternative WDRE Returns On 100.5 The Drive In Binghamton

EQUINOX BROADCASTING/BINGHAMTON, NY moves its Alternative/Triple A hybrid format from WRRQ-HD2 (106.7 FM) translator W283AG frequency at 104.5 FM to 100.5 FM and resurrects the legendary WDRE call letters (LONG ISLAND and PHILADELPHIA) on FM 100.5 THE DRIVE. THE DRIVE first launched back in 2011 on WRRQ 106.7 HD-2 and that signal was rebroadcasted on 104.5.

Operation Asst./morning show host JOHN FANNING told ALL ACCESS, "The big reason for the move to 100.5 THE DRIVE was bigger signal, and more coverage to reach our younger demo, and college students."

Meanwhile, EQUINOX shifts Oldies "COOL 100.5" to "COOL 106.7" using the same WCDW call letters.  The 104.5 signal continues simulcasting 100.5 THE DRIVE for the next month until a new format launches.
