Former CBS Radio VP, Emmy-Winning TV Producer/Writer William Froug Dies

Condolences to family and friends of former CBS RADIO VP/Programs and Emmy Award winning television writer-producer WILLIAM FROUG, who died SUNDAY in SARASOTA at 91, according to the SARASOTA HERALD-TRIBUNE.
FROUG began his career after a stint in the NAVY at the end of WORLD WAR II as a writer, ascending to VP at CBS RADIO by 1956. He segued into TV writing, winning an Emmy in 1959 for "Eddie," a play on the ALCOA-GOODYEAR PLAYHOUSE, and producing for shows like "BEWITCHED," "THE TWILIGHT ZONE," and "GILLIGAN'S ISLAND."
After serving as CBS' Executive Producer, Drama, he became a professor at UCLA.
