Nielsen OKs More Time For FTC Review Of Arbitron Deal

With the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION's 30-day review period of the deal over but the agency needing more time, NIELSEN HOLDINGS, N.V. has agreed to extend the FTC's review period of its acquisition of ARBITRON into SEPTEMBER.

"The regulatory process continues to progress and NIELSEN continues to be confident in the ultimate outcome," the company wrote in a press release announcing the extension.
