It's official: APPLE will holding a "new toy" event on SEPT. 10th, when it will likely unveil the latest version of its iPHONE. The WASHINGTON POST reports that the event will be held on the APPLE campus, starting at 1p ET.

Speculation among tech observers also expect to see the debut of a cheaper iPHONE aimed at more price-conscious consumers. The rumored 'iPHONE 5C' would come in multiple colors, much like APPLE’s iPOD Touch line, using the same processor chip as the current iPHONE 5 and have the same size screen. APPLE is also expected to offer a champagne-tinted light gold for its upgraded iPHONE 5, nicknamed the "iPHONE 5S," which has been rumored to have a fingerprint scanner.
