Hall of Fame LOS ANGELES DODGERS television and radio voice VIN SCULLY will serve as the Grand Marshal of the 2014 TOURNAMENT OF ROSES in PASADENA. SCULLY will ride in the ROSE PARADE on NEW YEAR'S DAY in PASADENA and will also toss the coin to start the ROSE BOWL game that day.
TOURNAMENT OF ROSES President R. SCOTT JENKINS said, “VIN SCULLY is incredibly accomplished and yet still so down to earth. His own life is one in which many dreams have come true and even more importantly, he has been at the microphone describing for listeners everywhere the dreams of others coming true. I couldn’t be happier that he accepted my invitation to be the Grand Marshal. I know his fans everywhere are cheering right now.”
“I am deeply humbled and greatly honored to be the Grand Marshal of the 125th ROSE PARADE,” said SCULLY. “I look forward to sharing this wonderful moment with my wife, SANDI, and the millions who will be watching.”
SCULLY, who recently announced that he will return for his 65th season in the DODGERS booth in 2014, is heard on a radio network headed by CLEAR CHANNEL Sports KLAC-A/LOS ANGELES and on FOX SPORTS PRIME TICKET and CBS-owned Independent KCAL-TV/LOS ANGELES (with TV coverage moving to the new TIME WARNER CABLE SPORTSNET LA next season).
