Day two of CHRISTIAN MUSIC BROADCASTERS (CMB) MOMENTUM 2013 was rocking & rolling from morning to night.
Devotions kicked off the day shortly after sunrise, leading up to a COFFEE TALK sponsored by KSBJ MENTORING, where old friends could network & share ideas and new attendees could get acquainted with veterans to help them become better immersed in the MOMENTUM 2013 experience.
Following breakfast, the morning educational sessions began, presented by COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL. GOODRATINGS STRATEGIC SERVICE consultant JOHN FROST was first on deck, delivering a solid performance at the plate with his challenge for stations to engage the listener, "BATTER UP".
DAN WILT crafted a well led session on "THE INDELIBLE ART OF STORYTELLING", and BOB COY entertained and energized the crowd with his take on "MOTIVATION".
Performances by KUTLESS, ALL THINGS NEW, FINDING FAVOUR, RYAN STEVENSON, AARON SHUST and UNSPOKEN rounded out the morning and led into lunch, sponsored by FAIR TRADE SERVICES.
Afternoon educational sessions focused on strategic ways to target social media, with JAY FRANK presenting the "DIGITAL DISRUPTION OF RADIO" and JACQUELYN BULLERMAN from ARBITRON with her take on "RAVING FANS, NOT JUST FRIENDS ON FACEBOOK".
Performances by MEREDITH ANDREWS, MATT REDMAN and COLTON DIXON, brought the afternoon educational sessions to a close, and paved the way for free-form discussion in the AFTERNOON BREAKOUT SESSIONS, led by JOHN FROST, BOB COY, JACQUELYN BULLERMAN and MOMENTUM UNIVERSITY.
The CMB KEYNOTE DINNER featured BOB GOFF, author of "LOVE DOES", who challenged the crew to "LOVE GOD, LOVE PEOPLE & DO STUFF". Featured performers were FOR KING & COUNTRY and the NEWSBOYS..
As dinner adjourned, the masses moved down the hall for the MOMENTUM MIX, a huge gathering of labels, 70+ artists and attendees. New introductions combined with old friends to pose for pictures and round out the evening. CITY HARBOR, TIM TIMMONS and LOVE & THE OUTCOME entertained at intervals during the mixer.
Various late night meetings & one-on-one networking sessions closed out the power packed day and rolled well past midnight. With a 99% chance that FRIDAY would sneak up on MOMENTUM participants this year, and with a workout led by ROB DEMPSEY and MANDISA scheduled to happen shortly after sunrise, THURSDAY'S lights were extinguished and folks retired to recharge for DAY THREE.
