FCC Proposes Fines Against Two FM Auction 93 Winners For Late Form 301 Filings

The FCC has proposed $3,000 fines on ALFRED L. "PAT" ROBERSON III and  NORTHWAY BROADCASTING LLC for failing to timely file a post-auction Form 301 application in FM Auction 93.

ROBERSON was late in filing his form for a new FM in ELAINE, AR; he said that the site for the new station fell through at the last minute, prompting him to file for a waiver of the deadline, which was granted.  NORTHWAY, winner of four permits (BLYTHE, CA; FERNLEY and SILVER SPRINGS, NV; POULTNEY, VT), said that it encountered difficulty when it attempted to file its engineering exhibits through the FCC's CDBS without aid of legal counsel and asked for a waiver, which also was granted.
