The AMERICANA MUSIC ASSOCIATION’s 14th Annual AMERICANA FESTIVAL & CONFERENCE in NASHVILLE is quickly approaching -- SEPTEMBER 18th-22nd.

The AMERICANA HONORS & AWARDS SHOW kicks off five days of the most comprehensive music business conference and festival for this genre of music.   This year’s educational track welcomes RIAA chairman CARY SHERMAN as keynote speaker, and features DAVID LOWERY (CAMPER VAN BEETHOVEN, CRACKER) offering insights from the artist’s perspective on timely legislative issues debated today and hosts the AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION’s Symposium on Entertainment.

The AMAs has revealed the full presenter and performer lineup for its 12th Annual Honors & Awards Show, which is set to take place on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18th at NASHVILLE’s RYMAN AUDITORIUM.

The event will include performances by ROBERT HUNTER, OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW, DR. JOHN, EMMYLOU HARRIS & RODNEY CROWELL, RICHARD THOMPSON, JOHN FULLBRIGHT, SHOVELS & ROPE, MILK CARTON KIDS, JD MCPHERSON, MIKE BUB, KELLY WILLIS & BRUCE ROBISON and DUANE EDDY.

Original BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD members STEPHEN STILLS and RICHARD FURAY will also come together to play the band’s iconic song “For What It’s Worth,” and third-generation musician HOLLY WILLIAMS will offer a tribute to her late grandfather HANK WILLIAMS SR.

The HONORS AND AWARDS SHOW will be hosted by JIM LAUDERDALE and will feature a house band led by BUDDY MILLER with DON WAS, LARRY CAMPBELL, GREG LEISZ, MARCO GIOVINO and JOHN DEADERICK. 

Presenters include actor/musician ED HELMS, filmmaker KEN BURNS, ROSANNE CASH, ALEJANDRO ESCOVEDO, JERRY DOUGLAS, AOIFE O’DONOVAN, BILLY BRAGG, THE CIVIL WARS’ JOY WILLIAMS, WILCO’S JOHN STIRRATT and PAT SANSONE, First Amendment Center Pres. KEN PAULSON, TIFT MERRITT and BBC legend, BOB HARRIS.

In addition, LIFETIME AND SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT HONORS will be presented to DR. JOHN, DUANE EDDY, ROBERT HUNTER, OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW, STEPHEN STILLS, CHRIS STRACHWITZ and HANK WILLIAMS (accepted by HOLLY WILLIAMS).

The Conference, headquartered out of the SHERATON NASHVILLE DOWNTOWN, will also feature artist interviews with BILLY BRAGG (led by ROB REINHART of “Acoustic Café”), ROSANNE CASH (conversing with BOB HARRIS of the BBC), DR. JOHN (with NICK SPITZER of NPR’s “American Routes”) and DELBERT MCCLINTON and GLEN CLARK (conducted by JIM FUSILLI of the WALL STREET JOURNAL).

Further, SEAN COAKLEY and LESLIE ROUFFE from SONGLINES will again host the annual MUSIC MEETING.

There will also be a lineup of showcasing artists more than 120 strong around NASHVILLE -- featuring notables such as ASHLEY MONROE, ST. PAUL AND THE BROKEN BONES, NORTH MISSISSIPPI ALLSTARS, HOUNDMOUTH, LISA MARIE PRESLEY, STEEP CANYON RANGERS, JUSTIN TOWNES EARLE, BOBBY RUSH and JD MCPHERSON.
