FCC Cites WYAV/Myrtle Beach For Contest Violation

NEXTMEDIA's NM LICENSING LLC gets hit with a Notice of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture for $4,000 by the FCC for contest violations at Classic Rock WYAV (WAVE 104)/MYRTLE BEACH.

The station held a motorcycle giveaway at a concert and told qualifiers to be there by 7p, but held the contest 15 minutes early due to a scheduling conflict, meaning that some contestants were not given the chance to participate.
