CCM+E Names Greg Strassell SVP/Programming

CLEAR CHANNEL MEDIA + ENTERTAINMENT has named GREG STRASSELL as SVP/Programming, effective immediately. STRASSELL, who joins from CBS RADIO (NET NEWS 9/9), will help lead programming initiatives and will report to Pres./Operations-Regional Markets MATT MARTIN.
STRASSELL is a multi-format programming veteran whose strategic brand management has impacted many major radio stations across the country. At CBS, STRASSELL oversaw the programming strategies and teams for many brands with a special focus on the company's pop music station expansion. Prior to CBS he served as VP/Product Development and Programming for AMERICAN RADIO SYSTEMS. He also previously launched and programmed WBMX (MIX 98.5) [now MIX 104.1], WZLX and WODS/BOSTON, WLOL/MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL and WROK-WZOK/ROCKFORD, IL.
STRASSELL has also received numerous honors from ALL ACCESS, including the "The Radio Company Senior Programmer of the Year Award" at the ALL ACCESS WORLDWIDE RADIO SUMMIT in 2012 and 2013.
