The NEW YORK YANKEES are close to a deal to move from CBS RADIO News WCBS-A/NEW YORK to sister Sports WFAN-A-F for the 2014 season, the NEW YORK TIMES and NEWSDAY are reporting.
The move, covering 10 years for about $15 million, would bump the NEW YORK METS from their longtime radio home on WFAN.
METS COO JEFF WILPON confirmed to the TIMES that it is "fairly accurate" that the team will leave WFAN and added that "we’re still negotiating with numerous parties about what we’re going to do with our radio."
