Former LINCOLN FINANCIAL MEDIA Sports WQXI-A (790 THE ZONE)/ATLANTA morning "MAYHEM IN THE A.M." co-host CHRIS DIMINO, fired when the show was canceled in the wake of the controversial bit parodying ALS-stricken football player STEVE GLEASON, may have a new job in the works, according to the ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION's RODNEY HO.
DIMINO, according to "multiple sources" cited by HO, will join crosstown DICKEY BROADCASTING Sports WCNN-A (680 THE FAN) when his six-month noncompete runs out in MARCH, 2014.
DIMINO, STEAK SHAPIRO, and NICK CELLINI were fired in JUNE after the bit, in which CELLINI imitated a robotic voice as GLEASON telling knock-knock jokes. WCNN owner DAVID DICKEY texted HO responding to questions about DIMINO by writing, "Who says he works for me?"
