Dierks Bentley Hosted A Night Of Honors

7th Annual ACM Honors

The ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC (ACM) presented its 7th Annual "ACM HONORS" event LAST NIGHT (9/10) at the RYMAN AUDITORIUM in NASHVILLE. The evening was hosted by DIERKS BENTLEY and included music, tributes and award honors.

Performances for the night included BENTLEY with RICKY SKAGGS, VINCE GILL and PAUL FRANKLIN, CHRIS YOUNG, LADY ANTEBELLUM's DAVE HAYWOOD and CHARLES KELLEY, THE MAVERICKS and many more.

Special awards recipients included:

• Cliffie Stone Pioneer Awards: KEITH WHITLEY and THE JUDDS
• Crystal Milestone Award: JASON ALDEAN
• Gene Weed Special Achievement Award: BLAKE SHELTON
• Jim Reeves International Award: LADY ANTEBELLUM
• Mae Boren Axton Award: TOMMY WIGGINS
• Poet’s Award: GUY CLARK

Industry awards were as follows:

• Nightclub Of The Year: JOE'S BAR - CHICAGO, IL
• Venue Of The Year: RYMAN AUDITORIUM - NASHVILLE, TN
• Don Romeo Talent Buyer Of The Year: JERRY HUFFORD - BUCK OWEN'S CRYSTAL PALACE
• Promoter Of The Year: ED WARM - JOE'S BAR

MBI (Musician, Bandleader, Instrumentalist) awards included:

• Producer Of The Year: JAY JOYCE
• Audio Engineer Of The Year: CHUCK AINLAY
• Bass Player Of The Year: JIMMIE LEE SLOAS
• Percussionist/Drummer Of The Year: MATT CHAMBERLAIN
• Fiddle Player Of The Year: AUBREY HAYNIE
• Guitarist Of The Year: J.T. CORENFLOS
• Piano/Keyboards Player Of The Year: MICHAEL ROJAS
• Specialty Instrument(s) Player Of The Year: MIKE JOHNSON

Finally, the Songwriter Of The Year award went to DALLAS DAVIDSON.
