'The Soul Of Dayton' Debuts

BCDAYTON BROADCASTING has launched "The Soul of DAYTON" on 99.1 HD3 and FM 98.7, the DAYTON DAILY NEWS  reports. The new community radio station debuted with over 15,000 songs commercial-free, playing classic R&B tunes from the mid-to-late '60s, '70s, and early '80s. featuring the sounds of MOTOWN, early funk and local groups that found national fame -- including the ISLEY BROTHERS, OHIO PLAYERS, HEATWAVE, ZAPP, FAZE-O and LAKESIDE.

“Not everyone has a digital FM radio in their home or car," BCDAYTON BROADCASTING partner BRAD LABARR told the paper. "We are relaying the 99.1 HD3 programming on FM98.7, which can be heard on regular FM radios by those living in DAYTON and its nearby suburbs.”
