PHILEDELPHIA children's TV legend SALLY STARR is ending her eight-year run hosting a SUNDAY midday country show for Oldies WVLT (CRUISIN' 92.1)/VINELAND, NJ. The PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER's MICHAEL KLEIN quotes "OUR GAL SAL" as saying she's ending the show on LABOR DAY weekend "because I'm tired and I'm 83 years old." STARR was a fixture on ABC affiliate WFIL-TV (now WPVI-TV) from 1950 through 1971 and briefly hosted a show for WSJT-TV (now WUVP-TV)/VINELAND-PHILADELPHIA in 1986; she will continue making personal appearances.
