"What does the fox say," sing YLVIS (brothers VEGARD and BARD YLVISAAKER) in their STARGATE-produced, song-turned-viral-videoclip "The Fox." The video now boasts nearly 50 million views since it's posting earlier this month and is currently Top 20 on iTUNES.
The song caught the attention of the producers of this year's iHEARTRADIO MUSIC FESTIVAL who secured a slot for the NORWEGIAN comedy duo on the bill only one day ahead of the FRIDAY start. They flew into LA and taped an appearance on THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW, before making their way up to VEGAS. They'll also appear on LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON on OCTOBER 9th.
The success of the song has also attracted the attention of executives at WARNER BROS., who have signed YLVIS to a worldwide deal. In an interview with the HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, the brothers explained, "It's laughs first, music second. We’re comedians. And we like to sing. This is very new for us and everyone is asking, ‘What are you going to do now?’ We don’t know. We’re busy trying to figure out what to do the next day."
