CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO and COCA-COLA® have launched two performance venues in DALLAS: the TAB ENERGY LOUNGE and the FULL THROTTLE GARAGE. The venues are expected to host approximately 50 mini-concerts this year, with seats that can be won on-air only at CLEAR CHANNEL DALLAS radio stations.
The performances will also be streamed exclusively on the Web sites of CLEAR CHANNEL DALLAS radio stations. DAVE NAVARRO, LIFEHOUSE, LOS LONELY BOYS and THE FRAY are among the first artists to appear in the new venues and online.
The venues "provide an intimate performance environment where artists can connect with their fans, both in the lounge and on their computer screens,” said J.D. FREEMAN, RVP/Market Manager of CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO DALLAS. “In sponsoring these lounges, even the world’s most valuable brand realizes benefits from the reach and personal connection that is unique to radio.”
Based on the early success of these unique lounges in drawing big name acts, the COCA-COLA COMPANY is considering the expansion of the sponsorship to bring similar music venues to other major cities. Potential markets include ATLANTA, CHICAGO, BOSTON, PHOENIX, NEW YORK, SAN DIEGO, SAN FRANCISCO and SEATTLE.
