The ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC (ACM) has announced newly elected Board of Directors for the 2013-2014 term.
New members include COUNTRY AIRCHECK's CHUCK ALY, 377 MANAGEMENT's ENZO DeVINCENZO, MUSIC KNOX/PEERMUSIC NASHVILLE's MICHAEL KNOX, MARTINGALE ENTERTAINMENT's BETSY McHUGH, RED LIGHT MANAGEMENT's SHAWN McSPADDEN, SPALDING ENTERTAINMENT's CHRIS PARR, ASCAP's LeANN PHELAN, NASHVILLE MUSICIANS ASSOCIATION/AFM LOCAL 257's DAVE POMEROY, iTUNES' SALLY SEITZ and WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE's PETER STRICKLAND. In addition to the director-at-large positions, KEN ROBOLD has been appointed Chariman, DARIN MURPHY Pres. and PAUL BARNABEE VP.
Directors are elected from each category based on the number of members. Each director serves staggered two-year terms, with half the board membership changing each year.
“I’m excited to see what these 10 terrific new members, with their original perspectives, will bring to the already energetic group of dedicated professionals on the Board,” said ROBOLD. “We’re blessed to have true commitment from so many hard working industry heavyweights to deliver the mission of the ACADEMY, as we gear up for what will be key years in ACM history.”
