Gary Overton Named Honorary Professor

Congratulations to SONY/NASHVILLE Chairman/CEO GARY OVERTON, who was named an Honorary Professor by MIDDLE TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY’s RECORDING INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT. He was presented with the honor during a visit with MTSU students on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17^th.

OVERTON is a 1984 MTSU grad, earning a Bachelor of Science in Recording Industry Management. He was recently inducted into the MTSU Mass Communication Wall of Fame.

Current Department of Recording industry Chair BEVERLY KEEL said, "GARY OVERTON is one of the most successful graduates in the 40-year history of the Department of Recording Industry ... He is a wonderful ambassador for MTSU and Country music."
