Hearing Held In Todd Schnitt's Suit Against Lawyer For Malpractice

As ALL ACCESS reported in JUNE (NET NEWS 6/11), COMPASS MEDIA NETWORKS host TODD SCHNITT and his wife MICHELLE are suing his former attorney PHIL CAMPBELL's firm SHUMAKER, LOOP AND KENDRICK, LLC for malpractice, and SCHNITT was in court for a hearing MONDAY (9/24) in the matter, reports FOX O&O WTVT (FOX 13)/TAMPA.

CAMPBELL was involved in an incident during the trial of SCHNITT's lawsuit against BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE in JANUARY, with the attorney being arrested for a DUI that involved the presence of a paralegal from BUBBA's law firm and allegations that CAMPBELL's case paperwork ended up in the hands of opposing counsel.  SCHNITT paid CAMPBELL $1 million and owes another $1 million, but filed suit rather than pay the remainder and is also requesting a refund of the amount paid.  SCHNITT lost the lawsuit after a widely-publicized trial.
